![]() Like its pricier stablemate, it comes bundled with a multi-surface floorhead and a secondary floorhead with a soft brushroll and an integrated laser light to help you see fine debris on hard floors. These similarities include a built-in particle sensor, which lets you keep tabs on allergen levels within your home, and an automatic power adjustment system that increases suction when passing over a carpeted surface or cleaning an area with a lot of debris. Better yet, it shares many of the same features at a more affordable price. It's also smaller and lighter than the V15, making it easier to use in tight spots. However, despite the big gap in suction power on paper, there isn't much difference between the two in real-world debris pickup. Compared to the higher-end Dyson V15 Detect, it has a less powerful 150AW suction motor, so it falls slightly behind in deep cleaning performance. If you're looking for the best cordless Dyson vacuum at a mid-range price point, look at the Dyson V12 Detect Slim. ![]() However, it's very bulky for a cordless stick vacuum and is considerably harder to maneuver in tight spots than the smaller, lighter V15. If you're looking for a cordless vacuum with a higher-capacity dustbin and similar performance, consider the Dyson Outsize, another of the best Dyson stick vacuums we've tested. Its maximum runtime of over 70 minutes will be enough for cleaning most rooms, but this drops to a little over 10 minutes when used in its most powerful suction mode, so you'll need to work fast when cleaning stubborn messes. Dyson bundles its more expensive variants with additional attachments like a flexible adapter and a 'Worktop' tool for cleaning hard surfaces like counters or work tables. ![]() Even the entry-level variant of the V15 comes with a wide selection of attachments, including a soft-roller floorhead with a laser light to help you see small debris on bare surfaces and a conical turbo brush. However, its strong suction force can also cause it to get stuck on shag carpeting or drag around some lighter rugs. The vacuum's 230AW suction motor is remarkably powerful for a cordless model and allows superb debris pickup on various surfaces, comparable to some corded models. Its other main feature is its surface detection system, which automatically increases power on carpeted surfaces and lowers it when it passes back onto hard floors. This isn't exactly a must-have feature, but it can be very handy if you suffer from allergies and want a rough estimate of allergen quantities within your home. You can see this information on the LED display at the back of its body. This cordless stick/handheld vacuum's headlining feature is its built-in dirt sensor, which counts and measures the size of particles sucked into the vacuum. It feels like a really nice old 60s guitar to me.įor me, the attraction of the guitar is for things like musical theater or certain kinds of cover band gigs where I need to go back and forth between acoustic and electric sounds quickly and the quality of the acoustic sound doesn’t have to be off the charts, just in the ballpark. The best Dyson vacuum we've tested is the Dyson V15 Detect. ![]() The neck is a little chunkier than I prefer, all things being equal, but the profile, radius etc. They reminded me of the humbuckers in my old Ibanez Steve Lukather Roadstar II, but a little warmer/more organic. I actually thought they sounded pretty good. In both the one I first played at the store and the one I bought used, they sounded if anything a little bright to me, but I thought I could work with that. I’m surprised to hear the humbuckers described as dark. Unfortunately the piezo output was DOA (might have something to do with those flimsy piezo connection wires guitarno mentioned?), so I had to return it. I got a chance to play one in a store a few weeks ago, then saw a used one for a nice price at GC and jumped. Interested in this thread since I’ve been kind of homing in on one of these for a while.
